Collection Requirements

For outpatients draw mustard tubes, for inpatients draw light green lithium heparin tubes. 1ml serum or 1ml plasma (Lithium Heparin). Spin and separate from cells within 4 hrs of collection. Samples should be drawn just before next dose for trough levels. If toxicity suspected, draw at any time.
