Collection Requirements

Collection Container/Tube: EDTA (lavender-top) tube 
Specimen Volume: 1.8 mL Plasma
Minimum Volume: 0.8 mL Plasma
Collection Instructions: 
1. Collect a mid-morning blood sample after patient has been upright (sitting, standing, or walking) for a minimum of 2 hours, then have them sit 5-15 minutes prior to collection.
2. Centrifuge and aliquot plasma into a plastic aliquot tube then freeze.
