Collection Requirements

Collect a pinworm paddle preparation of perianal region after the patient has been resting at least two hours or in early morning before patient has bathed or defecated. Use the Swube: a pinworm paddle in a sterile plastic tube. Available from the Microbiology department. Do NOT collect on “scotch tape”. Tape preps will NOT be processed.
