  • Outpatients: Red Top SST or Yellow Top SST Tube

Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL serum or plasma
Collection Instructions: Centrifuge the specimen and separate the serum or plasma from cellular components within 2 hours of collection.

Submission Tube: Original collection tube
Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL serum 
Specimen Stability: Refrigerated 3 weeks, Frozen 5 months, Room Temperature 7 days.
