Collection Requirements
0.5mL CSF. Hemolyzed specimens should not be used as hemoglobin is a protein and if present will result in an increase in measured protein. Specimens shouldbe collected prior to intrathecal administration of contrast media.Mix sample by gentle inversion and bring to room temp prior to processing.
