Collection Requirements
SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS: Aspirate collected in 2 dark green Na heparin tubes and 1 lavender EDTA tube. Core submitted in 10% buffered formalin. Clot submitted in 10% buffered formalin. Copy of patient's recent CBC and slide, OR 1 lavender EDTA whole blood specimen. NOTE: For Minimal Residual Disease for Myeloma (MDR), 2 aspirates collected in lavender EDTA are needed.
Shipping and Handling Instructions
Keep specimens cool. If delay in transport is expected, ship with COOL pack.
