• Inpatients: Light Green Top (Lithium Heparin) Tube
• Outpatients: Red Top SST or Yellow Top SST Tube
Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL serum or plasma
Collection Instructions: Centrifuge the specimen and separate the serum or plasma from cellular components within 2 hours of collection.

Submission Tube: Original collection tube

Specimen Stability: Refrigerated 2 days, Frozen 4 weeks (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles), Room Temperature not recommended.
